I am sincerely honored to have been selected as the recipient to the Joseph James Morelli Legacy Foundation Scholarship. This scholarship gave me the opportunity to think about my disability, and reflect on all the hard work I have put into my schooling. I am so appreciative of this scholarship and why it was created. Thank you for your generosity. This has allowed me to reduce my hours at my part-time job in order to focus on my studies. I have my LPN licenser exam scheduled while I am continuing my education to achieve my RN. These funds come at a time of uncertainty in the world with the pandemic and as a community, pulling together is very important. As I continue my education at Weber State University, I am very thankful for receiving your thoughtful gift. Because of your scholarship, I am overjoyed that my college experience is teaching me that simple acts of kindness go a long way and giving back to others changes lives. I see this in my part-time job as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an acute care facility. This is the person I am striving to be, one that provides a simple act of kindness by serving others with hope and a genuine smile that elevates their spirits regardless of their circumstance.
