This scholarship allows me to have time to be active on campus, extra study time, and a social life. After receiving the scholarship from last year, I was able to join Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, where I met a lot of friends and made a solid study group. Without the funds, I wouldn’t have been able to find the necessary amount of time to be able to look into a group like this on campus. Other than this group, I was able to continue with Engineers Without Borders and Women’s Club Lacrosse. This scholarship also motivates me to stand up for my rights and continue my passion for trying to change the ODS system at Georgia Tech.I am deeply honored to be a recipient of the Joseph James Morelli scholarship once again. The community the foundation brings is no other. This past semester, I studied abroad in New Zealand, and during my break, I van around the south island, and every day when I hiked a new mountain, I thought I bet Joseph would love this view and all the adrenaline the south island activities have. Knowing Joseph loved the outdoors and struggles with dyslexia makes me feel like I am not alone. This scholarship means more to me than just the financial aid. Don’t get me wrong; the financial aid helps tremendously, as stated in the previous year. I am proud to be a Joseph Morelli Scholar.
