I’m thankful to have this award to help pay for my education. I was a little nervous sharing how my disability has impacted me. Application questions for other scholarships asked what challenges I had overcome, so I did not always mention my disability. The Morelli scholarship was different, because the family understood that the challenge wasn’t something to be solved (overcome) one time, but is an ongoing struggle. I appreciate their faith in me, and will use my education to improve myself, and better the lives of others.
