I am so grateful to the Joseph Morelli Scholarship Team. This is the fifth year I have applied for and received this scholarship and it has been a great help in my journey through school. To me being a Morelli Scholar is not about how my โ€œlearning disability makes school harderโ€ but how to leverage my strengths to succeed. Throughout my education and especially in late high school and college I have learned that my dyslexia and dysgraphia have taught me far more than they have ever prevented me from learning. They have taught me about hard work, perseverance, and above all else how to leverage my strengths to achieve my goals and to not let my weaknesses hold me back. I’ve learned so much during my time in college and the Morelli Legacy Fund has played no small part in allowing me to have this opportunity. I’m so grateful to everyone who makes this Foundation possible and I hope that I will have the opportunity in the future to give back for all the help they have given me.
