Joseph excelling in his academic studies after receiving accommodations for his dyslexia resonates with me as I too did not excel in my studies until I received accommodations for dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. Being a repeat recipient of the Joseph James Morelli Scholarship means so much to me because it comes from a group of people who know that a student receiving accommodations works as hard or harder then the other students taking the same classes. Thank you to all the donors and those working for this organization. A special thanks to the Morelli family, knowing that you have chosen to honor Joseph’s life by helping other students overcoming the same hurdles as he faced in school gives me inspiration in addition to the monetary support. As I start my senior year the funds will allow me to spend extra time on my senior project and to keep my grades up so I can graduate with honors.
