Receiving the Joseph James Morrelli Foundation scholarship means more than you can imagine. Receiving this scholarship means more than just the fact that I will not have to work as much to stay in school. It has shown me that there is support for people like me who have dyslexia and other learning differences. It has made me feel like I am part of a community and not an outcast. Over the past 4 years, it has opened up a whole network of people who share my same experiences. A lot of this has been done through the mentoring program, which I am happy to say I am a part of. This scholarship has given me the opportunity to give back, which feels just as good as getting help. I would like to thank everyone who has touched this program in some way shape or form.
