I am especially honored and grateful to receive the Joseph James Morelli scholarship because it not only recognizes and commends academic success, but also specifically acknowledges the daily struggles faced by college students with learning disabilities. The ability to pursue my dreams by overcoming my dyslexia takes a lot of extra work and belief in myself, as well as the unwavering support of my family, coaches, and professors. I will use this scholarship to help me on the path to earning a mechanical engineering degree. I’ll combine that expertise with my personal farming knowledge and the wisdom handed down from all the farmers I’ve known to redesign agricultural equipment to make it safer and less prone to breakdowns. This will contribute to more abundant crop yields, which in turn will help communities with food resources. I’m fully aware this is an ambitious goal and some might say it’s out of reach for someone like me, but I reject that limitation. I firmly believe that nothing is impossible with hard work and the determination to push through obstacles. I know life will throw challenges my way, but succeeding through dyslexia has taught me how to navigate hard obstacles, to give help when I can, and to ask for help when I need it. I deeply appreciate your help with this scholarship that helps overcome the financial hurdles I face on my path through college. I will honor your faith in my abilities and potential by meeting my life’s goal to use my degree to help our country and our people. Thank you for believing in me.

Every November, Live PC Give PC brings Park City and Summit County together for 24 hours of extreme generosity. Supporters both local and nationwide come together for this annual fundraiser. All donations made between now and midnight Nov 3rd count towards our donation goal.

We Need Your Support on November 3, 2023

To date we have awarded over 330 scholarships, totaling more than $550,000. Your gift is helping these young adults receive much needed tutoring, testing, accommodations, resources and tuition support, which can make the difference between success and failure. But more than the financial support, your generous support builds students’ self-esteem and confidence, as well as restores the dream of being worthy and deserving of an education.

We would like to thank Promontory Foundation for their generous matching grant donation!  Please help us reach our goal of $40,000 so that we may continue to change lives!
