Fully embracing my dyslexia and the inherent challenges that come with my learning challenge is a lifelong struggle. Like Joseph, I’ve had difficulties along the way that taught me the value of persistence and the beauty of seeing the world differently. The Morelli Foundation Scholarship is a perfect reinforcement that my efforts are not in vain, and others recognize my achievements and my potential to influence the world. The financial award is meaningful and helps defray the expense of pursuing my dream to design the next generation of video games. However, the real value of the Morelli Foundation scholarship comes from the Scholarship Committee’s deep knowledge of what it means to be a high-performing dyslexic scholar and letting me know that I’m on the right track.
