Becoming a Morelli Scholar holds profound significance that goes beyond just personal recognition. It’s a tribute to the legacy of Joseph James Morelli and his remarkable journey, particularly his triumph over dyslexia. It reminds me that obstacles are not impassable barriers but rather opportunities for growth and resilience. It encourages me to approach challenges with perseverance and a positive attitude. In becoming a recipient I feel I have been welcomed into a community and been given support to pursue my passion as a student at NC State University studying Mechanical Engineering.
