The Joseph James Morelli Legacy Foundation means so much to me. For this being my second year receiving the scholarship it makes the foundation seem like family to me. I know that the foundation values my academic career and knows that I can accomplish amazing things in the future. Having a mentor my freshman year of college helped me through my school work and going through the mental and emotional process of disliking what I thought was my dream school. Throughout my first year I learned the expectations are not always correct, whether you think you did great on an exam or the idea that college will be the best time of your life. The foundation believed in me even after I transferred from my dream school after only one semester. Knowing that the foundation believes in me gives me more confidence to step out of my comfort zone, by tackling harder assignments and any obstacles in my way of success. I am unbelievably grateful for the support of the foundation, and a group of individuals I am happy to call my family.
