This year alone has been very rough for my family and I. I have received numerous heart surgeries in order to keep my life. with that being said, I was trying to be a full time student at the same time that I was recovering from all these major surgeries on my heart. I appreciate this scholarship so much because it relieves financial pressure on my family and I and I can take classes over the summer with this money, making up for the time that was now lost due to my surgeries!
