Being a Morelli Scholar connects me with the stories of hundreds of students who have similar experiences. Being part of this community will encourage me to continue working to change the narrative about dyslexic learners. Winning this scholarship also relieves financial strain, allowing me to focus on my studies and goals. In college, I plan to minor in Entrepreneurship and join Cal Poly’s Engineers Without Borders team, where I will take trips to Kenya to build water distribution systems. Winning the Joseph James Morelli scholarship makes this possible and will open many other doors during my time in college.
