New York,

I am incredibly grateful to receive the James Joseph Morelli scholarship. Throughout my life, I’ve silently struggled against dyslexia and dysgraphia. To me, this scholarship not only represents a validation of the many adversities I’ve faced, but also a recognition of everything that I’ve managed to achieve despite my learning differences. Joseph led an inspiring life, and it’s an incredible honor to have been selected for a scholarship commemorating his memory. As I look toward my future, I hope to champion the values he stood for in his life and uphold his legacy.
