I am honored to be chosen as a Joseph James Morelli Scholar in memory of Joseph, an amazing young man. When I read his story, I immediately related to his challenges, as I have always struggled in life due to Dyslexia. Like Joseph, I tried not to let it define me but instead empower me to recognize my strengths and advocate for what I need to succeed. This scholarship reminds me that I can achieve even with obstacles. I am greatly humbled to carry on the legacy of Joseph and am excited to carry on his message. The scholarship’s support will help me pay for my nursing degree at Elon University. I am one step closer to helping others like Joseph has helped me. I look forward to sharing Joseph’s inspiring story with others who, like us, face the challenges of Dyslexia. Thank you!
