I am grateful, proud, and excited to receive the Joseph James Morelli Scholarship and become a part of the Morelli legacy. It will help me as I attend my top choice school, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, by relieving some of the stress of paying for it and allowing me to focus on studying. When I first learned about the opportunity to apply I immediately related to Joseph’s story. Like Joseph I also have dyslexia, am a skier, and a big fan of the outdoors. Following my second year of high school, I visited Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Glacier National Park as a part of a field studies program. All of these connections make receiving this particular scholarship very personal. I want to thank the committee for supporting me and others like me.
