The Joseph James Morelli Legacy Foundation marked a major milestone with its final Celebration & Welcome Event, held August 10 at The Shed at Promontory. The gathering honored 11 years of empowering students with dyslexia and learning differences, and commemorated the Foundation’s upcoming transition to Montana State University, Joseph’s alma mater.
Friends, family, donors, and scholars came together to reflect on a decade of growth—from awarding two scholarships in 2014 to supporting nearly 500 students nationwide with almost $900,000 in funding. Personal stories from past recipients, moving reflections from founder Barbara Morelli, and powerful outcomes from the mentorship program all highlighted the far-reaching impact of the Foundation’s work.
The event was a heartfelt tribute to the past, a celebration of the present, and a hopeful look toward the future of Joseph’s legacy.
