Our Scholarship Program

Joseph's Legacy Lives on

Joseph James Morelli was a young man, diagnosed with severe dyslexia as a freshman in high school, who graduated from Park City High School and was pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Montana State University, when he was tragically killed in a car accident in 2014. Our mission is to honor Joseph’s spirit. Through the awarding of scholarships, we recognize students, who like Joseph struggle with dyslexia, and empower them to believe in themselves.

The Power of Mentoring

Even beyond scholarship, success is achieved with mentoring.

After its second successful year, the Mentorship Program has become an essential element in the support the Foundation offers our awardees.

The program pairs college freshmen with peer mentors to help them navigate the challenges that college presents, particularly for students with learning differences. Mentors are current or former Morelli Foundation scholarship recipients, either upperclassmen or recent graduates, who are hand-picked by us and trained by our partner, SuperPower Consulting, to equip mentees with the skills they need to confidently succeed in all aspects of their lives.
